Not so much with the words today. Cloudless, sweetest blue sky. Barefoot and lying on the grass watching the poplar trees shimmer the silvered undersides of their leaves in the steady breeze. Dogs stretched out on either side of me, half-bellied to the sun.
Full out savasana – earth to sky – ummmm.
The kind of day that sinks into your bones and you simply cannot take it all in so you give it back up to the sky with thanks, thanks, thanks.
Yesterday, Christine and I took our babies to the beach.
Although her little man is hardly a baby any more– days away from turning one year old.
And taking many a small step for mankind.
I’m thinking, as I often have, but more seriously than ever before– that I would like to live at the beach. Perhaps not year-round, but certainly for three to four months—
Yes, I put that out to the universe: I want to live at the beach.
I’m thinking Henry’s all in.
Daisy, too.
Sure enough– looks like the girl is already off scouting locations.
We got home in the early evening– grabbed a beer at our favorite local restaurant and some dinner/dessert to go– with dogs and baby zonked – we kicked back to drink more beer and watch Bridesmaids*.
And, oh, did we howl.
(we howled)

*soundtrack is pretty great, too.

Beautiful pics, Liz. I can see you at the beach, yes I can! xo
I love the ocean! But right now, all I can imagine is how much sand had to be stuck in the unmentionables…ouch. Beautiful pictures, and I haven't seen Bridesmaids yet…on my list!

and i admire your putting out this idea of living at the beach to the universe. i hope it's (?!) listening…
Love, love, love your posts about your new life in RI. It seems positively idyllic! We actually just spent the weekend in Bristol for a wedding and we fell in love with your state! We even talked about leaving everything behind in NYC and heading up to New England for good. That may be a ways off, but I did spend some time researching cute little coastal cottages for Thanksgiving week—if plans get serious, I'm going to message you for advice!
Xoxo Vespa Rossa
