Mystic Vixen

we’re back!

here we come2
That felt like a long time away.

It wasn’t intentional, I promise. So much good going on around here but as the beautiful new year washed in, the tide washed out with one of my non-saved usernames. (Note to self: next time you get all ‘scrub the decks and clear the hard drive’, be sure to update all your password spreadsheets).

The good news is, the Google Apps team are fabulous to work with (the lot I’m with are in Montreal so friendly, French and fun!)  They ended up helping me streamline loads of stuff I had jerry-rigged. End result? Smooth sailing in my tech world.

In fact– my newest t-shirt reads, “compassionate, intuitive, tech*goddess” because 2013 is all about me and my techie, techie ways.   (I KNOW, right?)

Tomorrow, I jump into Thea’s online workshop where I will boldly crawl into the realms I have always feared: shooting photographs in manual mode; learning about ISO, Aperture and shutter speed. (Ha! freudian typo: SHUDDER speed)

So there’s that.

I’m also talking PhotoShop and FinalCut Pro at RISD.

That’s right– when I said ‘boldly crawl’– I wasn’t kidding around.

HENRY:  I was kind of hoping she was kidding around.

Mostly, I just wanted to get back in here, throw open the curtains and let some of this fabulous sunshine we have been having pour in.

Something really big shifted for me on New Year’s eve–

Really big.  But it’s not like it came out of nowhere. I have been doing a lot of work (for a LOT of years) to find my way in the world– and wouldn’t you know– when you least expect it– POP. Something huge burned off of me, never to return.

Remember the hundreds of swans that were everywhere I went in 2012, season of the swan?

Well, kids– radical transformation has occurred.

I believe it is directly related to self-esteem and self-confidence issues that have long dogged me. Something where I would give all my power away and not stand in my own strength– I was updating the website for the new year and as I was scribbling away, this poured out and BOOM— the secret door slid open and I was on the other side.

It really was, just. like. that. The kind of shift you can’t imagine can really happen.

When Lauren came into the office after the holidays she looked up at one point, a bit puzzled. When I asked her what she was thinking she said, “you look different.”

How do I feel?  Light, so centered, so clear – energized in the best, sweetest way.

When I did Susannah’s Unravelling 2013 – the word that chose me was HOME. I say chose me, because I would never have come up with that and yet, it is exactly right– 2013 is all about coming home, being home, feeling at home.

Sending BIG love to you and trusting that the new year rolled up your steps in the best way possible.

more soonest–

bisous, e

Dearest Elizabeth – Just popped in to catch up, and scrolling backwards to this post, bright, hot tears of joy fill my eyes. You are a wonder, dear one, and I am so very glad that “something burned off you” and you are on the other side ~ still you, but more so. Much Love, Andrea in Vermont
