Dave drove down through the rain and got here around lunchtime. After a few minutes outside where the dogs got thoroughly wet and muddy, we put them in the back of the car to snuggle and catch up, while we went and got some Thai food.
How did Oliver handle the change? Well, when Dave went to say good-bye, Oliver crawled back into the furthest corner of my car — as if to say, I’m all good, you can leave now.
And so, Dave hit the road, headed north — with my biggest gratitude.
By then the rain had stopped so we headed to the park where we met up with Meg and Coco (Oliver’s long-distance girlfriend) and Daisy danced around like it was Christmas and she was the sugar plum fairy.
Sorry for the lack of photos — believe me, there was much with the happiness.
Now I am home — rushing to get through a bunch of work so I can dive into the weekend.
Above is a photo of Oliver who is snuggled in as closely to my feet as he can possibly be while I tap tap tap on the computer. Here, let me show you another angle.
Not a particularly pretty shot and he isn’t smiling, but if you could hear him purr . . .
That is, IF you could hear it over the sweetest snores of a most un-anxious, un-depresssed doggy that I ever did see.
BOO-yah!
Houston, I think we have turned a corner.
Have a GREAT weekend!
bisous, e
A smile is wide on my face and I *may* be a little misty… Such goodness. xoxo
O! I bet they are both thrilled! Sure there is no way that you could move part-time to Soliden or Dave could move part-time to Provi? THINK OF THE CHILDREN! 😀
xoxoxooxo
ha ha HA !! the kids are all right mama!!! If Ollie can settle in— his stay will be most def extended– right now, he still has to adjust to all the sounds of life around the apartment building without barking at each and every door slam . .. ahem
Ollie, city life is okay, Daisy will show you the ropes. 🙂 🙂 🙂

A lovely image for the end of my work day…so sweet! And so happy for them!
That last photo, of Daisy, makes me so happy! This entire post does!
I am totally glad that I stopped by and what you shared was definitely what I needed: to learn that Daisy was happy again and that you can stop worrying about her perhaps the least little bit. I think Daisy needs a pack with at least one other four-legged in it.
Enjoy the weekend! ~~t.
yes yes yes– it is feeling so good and he is so happy!
ohhh thank you for sharing in this joy!!! it does feel so good all around. so good
moi aussi !!! moi aussi!! it's a huge relief for sure. . . xooxxo, e
oh yes she definitely does– she is part border collie so not having a herd to manage is quite stressful for her— so far things feel absolutely right– like this is exactly how it was meant to be– ahhhh xo, e
I love your posts and reading about your beloved dogs and their friends. Dogs are good for our souls and our spirits, they (obviously) have the same soothing effect on their long lost doggie friends.
Good news I am so very happy to hear!
yes yes yes– they are the healers for sure!! xo, e
aww, yes! thanks for sharing in the happiness!! xoox, e
