Sunday I picked up Michelle from the train station and we went straight to Whole Foods where we filled a cart with beets, lemons, ginger, green apples, celery, radishes, lettuce, sunflower sprouts . . . well, you get the idea.
Yesterday morning, Michelle made the tonic of all tonics in my juicer and then for lunch we had salads– mid-afternoon was a smoothie of fruits, yogurt and all sorts of goodness– dinner was fish, carmelized scallops on purple slaw with a side of roasted cauliflower.
Woman, hear me sing!
If I could eat like this every day– I swear, my issues of energy and fatigue would be a thing of the past.
If you’d like to see a modern-day doctor’s bag, take a gander:
All of which to say, things are good– I am doing well– just full out with squam and will likely be intermittent at best in this neck of the woods for the next two weeks or so.
I am sending out lots of love and light to you all and wishing a really strong, healthy, vibrant start to your September, too.
Bisous, E

One of these days the beginning of the school year will not coincide with SQUAM, and the end of the school year will coincide with SQUAM, and I will be able to enjoy all that is SQUAM!
I, like those who can not make it either, will be there in spirit.
Enjoy!

Karen
juice recipe! it's a detox juice…and so YUMMY, energizing, invigorating and life-infusing i can't even tell you!
this made enough for two of us (i wash/scrub everything well and put the whole thing in the juicer – skin, rind and all)
1 large beet (or 2-3 small beets)
3 green granny smith apples
1 lemon
1 inch ginger
drink immediately…
it all sounds wonderful, it is amazing all the things we can do for ourselves but gifting ourselves great well prepared and thoughtful meals seems so hard to do daily, even weekly. envious of those who do it well.
