Mystic Vixen

inside / out

Coming into the home stretch on this little challenge I set for myself.  Of course, I am wishing I could go out in a blaze of glory but that is not at all where I am at.

This is probably why I don’t post most days– most days I am floaty– like today.

All of yesterday, all of last week, all of what I am reading and meditating on is in vaporous clouds that move back and forth between my ears.  They have yet to get sucked into the funnel that converts them to ideas that might spill out through my fingers in so many words.

Yet, I have some good things to share– nothing from my brain cavity — but things I have collected along the way that I will share with you here in the spirit of the Friday round-up that so many bloggers do that I enjoy so much.

smart and naive
(gah.  story of my life)

They respect human personality, and therefore they are always kind, gentle, polite, and ready to give in to others. They do not make a row because of a hammer or a lost piece of india-rubber; if they live with anyone they do not regard it as a favour and, going away, they do not say “nobody can live with you.” They forgive noise and cold and dried-up meat and witticisms and the presence of strangers in their homes.
Seriously Anton?  I must forgive cold and dried-up meat?  Okay, I guess . ..

love her work

a prose witness that relies on the imagination to respond to the world as we see it, feel it, and dare to ask the questions that will not let us sleep. Imagination. Attention to details. Making the connections. Art — right words to station the mind and hold the heart ready.
um, yes

the stuff we have
the big revelation of this morning’s meditation?  —-> I am taking ALL the journals from the small white bookcase, every single one (except my current journal) — putting them in a box and putting that box in the basement.  the great purge of 2013 has begun . . .

see you tomorrow for our LAST day of November . . . *clicking heels*

bisous, e

I am so sad that it is ending. I have loved this month! I totally forgive the cold and the dried meat. Sometimes I think I might have to put my foot down about SOMETHING, at SOME POINT. But? I don't know, I think it isn't much worth it.
