Mystic Vixen

I was so tired this morning*

Two quick notes from the comments:

1. Jennifer had asked me about the sparkles on the ceiling– no, they are not stars or anything tacked up there– simply reflections from the sun onto a sparkly dish that sits on the window sill. Sometimes they go onto the ceiling– sometimes onto the wall– hard to capture– but a bit o’ pretty for the magpies among us.

2. So happy that Diary of Why has reconnected– last time I knew where she was, she was living in Paris– now it looks like she is back stateside and I can once again live vicariously through her madcap dating adventures!

Please don’t even try to understand why I like the photo above. I have tried repeatedly not to post it here, but have failed obviously– I think it is simply the shade of blue– I am all about color first and foremost when it comes to things I like to photograph.

Well, color and water . . .

And then of course— the dogs . . . how I do love those spoiled needy beasts.
(Even when they have gook in their eyes).

Bisous, E

*woke up TIRED. and felt, damn– what it is this? Depression? Really? When the sun is shining brightly and my life is expanding nicely and sure, I don’t want to run laundry or get dressed or go for a walk– but isn’t that normal for a Sunday? But I forced myself up– brought my camera with me to ameliorate the pain of having to take my sweet dogs for a walk in a beautiful park on a sunny morning (I know! the colossal struggle of my life!) Get to the park and am all ‘where is everybody? why is it so quiet here?’ Naturally my mood changes the moment I am strolling and losing myself in the woods and the pond and the river and the light– get home, drop in the laundry, settle back with a cup of coffee and the HELL? Clocks went back?

*sigh*

Yet again, the simplest explanation reveals itself.

Oh, happy happy. The feeling is more than mutual, E.

And “madcap” is such a kinder, more optimistic word for it than I would have used, so thank you for that, too. 🙂

We fell back a week ago, and I'm STILL tired. I can't see the photo you're talking about at the top, but all the rest make up for it. Lovely!

I am so behind…so this is a late comment. I LOVE to pretend that clocks didn't fall back, it gives me an extra hour when I need it. This year that hour was in the middle of the night. It is much better to say that you went to bed at 2:30 instead of 3:30!
