Mystic Vixen

dream time

Today had few words.
After the crash that follows the high there is a lull that, oddly enough, can be hard to sink into (ask any die-hard creative, I bet you will get a very high percentage of consensus on this).
Lucky for me, as life would have it, we had the sweetest, warmest day here in Providence — no hat needed — and so I was able to drop into the wordlessness that I love so much but that makes for poor blogging. What I’ve got instead: hit play on the little mix I made for you and slide into the slipstream with me.   This is what today was like for me.

What a beautiful vacation you brought to me tonight. It was perfect after a hectic drive in a blizzard, and shoveling and then making dinner/cleaning up/grading papers. PERFECT. The music was a lovely accompaniment. It brought my husband to my laptop and he also enjoyed your gorgeous photographs. That sun setting is stunning, and that white birch in the midst of rust…so awesome. But my favorite has to be Oliver. You have such talent. Thank you for sharing it. xxoo

P.S. I went through all of your classes for SQUAM this spring. *Sigh* It looks SO GOOD. Lucky people!

OMG – i'm listening to your mix and alternating between dancing, crying and just singing along. Fabulous choices and I'll be listening to this a few more times this week for sure.
    Thank you so much !!

Damn, I do love me some Van Morrison and *especially* Into the Mystic. It evokes so many memories and emotions. A long time ago, an ex-lover named his van “Morrison”. Thanks for the gift of the music and the photos! xoxo~~t.

Always a deep and comforting pleasure to read your posts… Thank you so much for this beautiful compilation! I just want to give you something back: This was the last time I really had to cry in front of the tv – I had to put away my knitting needles. I hope you enjoy it, too :-). http://youtu.be/ID7nI2tSm70?t=9s
    Hugs!
