This morning I gathered up four volumes of Mary Oliver poetry, some freshly brewed coffee frothy with milk in my favorite mug and brought it all back into bed with me. I had to improvise a nightstand since this is not my usual approach to the day– but once the little white table was in place with my white ceramic mug safely on its surface I settled back against an armful of pillows and began to read. Interrupted only occasionally by the dogs who after a glance outside, realized this was definitely the place to be.
You see, this is what you would find out the window:
and, of course, the shots you have been waiting for–

But you guys? I LOVE you all.

P.S. yes, all these photos were taken this morning.
Oh my goodness…I really do not know how you have survived this winter…and I would have stayed curled up in bed this morning. You are a MUCH better person than I to venture out in the cold and snow….those are some lucky lucky dogs! xoxo
Oh crap.
Love the picture of the tree with the lichen on it. Just beautiful.

i heard it was snowing AGAIN today and have been thinking about you all day…having unfortunate images of you a la “the shining” – far prettier, but perhaps no less stir crazy.
but you are a vision of resiliance…
and let this be the last of the white stuff!
i love you…*m
and, yes, I can vouch for E. Snowing again! Spring, where are you?
Holy moly, you really got socked! And here WE'RE the ones with spring temps and sunshine! Love the lichen and that lost shot. YOU? so cute 🙂
Wow this winter has really kept you turning inward this season, but I do believe it will be a grand Spring awakening! 😉
These are the M.O. words coming to me lately…”Listen. Are you breathing just a little and calling it a life?” — Mary Oliver

Hey there, I have just landed at your sweet space for the first time. I so enjoy the words and the photos … being a huge puppy lover this last one just made me so happy to see! Nice to have found you
By the way, we had more snow here yesterday, too!
