Mystic Vixen

clearly, someone needs to question my priorities if I am blogging before unpacking my suitcase

Yes, the suitcase spills open across my bedroom floor: socks, shirts, leggings, cosmetic bag, pajamas and bathing suit are in quite the tangle and seem to be in a rather intense dialogue with the pile of sheets and pillowcases cascading over the edge of the laundry basket.

I really don’t want to know what they are saying about me this morning.

On the plus side, Henry seems to be on the other side of his awful illness. Poor Lolo had to manage the worst of it while I was gone– but hey, she’s young, right? All that resilience and optimism has to be used up somehow– otherwise, how else will she ever grow old?

More good: this morning I saw two red cardinals and a flock of robins. The ground was soft and the air was gentle. I know this winter has been mild. I know I now live three hours south of the white mountains and all their heavy snow– but oh la la la, am I loving on this spring-like weather in the middle of February. Loving.

As it is Friday— why not share some favorite recent finds? Why not, indeed?

1. taproot – no doubt you have already seen this, but I am so excited for Amanda
(and Sissy has a beautiful article in it, too) so I have to share because it is such a wonderful new magazine in the world.

2. Am totally enthralled with this art & photo series Tree, Line by Zander Olsen

Zander Olsen_Tree, Line_007zander olsen

3. loving on Erin Cone big time

4. Eithna Joyce
I met Eithna at West Dean. She is as lovely and etheral as her artwork.

In particular, am loving her paintings, in particular #7 in this set from 2010 titled, “I think I remember”

5. I think this would be a funny poster to hang in my kitchen

bon weekend!

bisous, e
