Yesterday a giant pocket of humidity descended on the city in the late afternoon and all of us who were caught out in it were suddenly drenched in sweat and unable to move more than a few inches at a time.
It was kooky– but also fair metaphor for where I have been. That is until last night when I hung out with Sissy in her delightfully cool basement watching Moonstruck— until we got into such a fabulous round of telling old stories the movie just hung there until Netflix shut it off– like, hey– if you’re not even gonna finish the movie, I’m not gonna stand around and hold it for you.
Whatever, Netflix–
Today is better, cooler– still summertime warm– but not oppressive. I am needing to do about a hundred rounds of laundry, but am thinking maybe a nap instead?
sparkles & glitter on the pavement = my kind of town
Speaking of naps– after finishing the last big, had-to-be-done-before-end-of-the-week task on Friday, I booted the dogs to the living room, closed the bedroom door and fell into a nap where I slept like I haven’t slept in months. It was heavenly.
Naps, I need more of them– just like that.
So, the season change is upon us– we have both the blooming roses and the fading hydrangeas– and everything in between– a deepening of hue with reds, burgundies, and deep purples bursting everywhere.
Whew, how about we break it up with a bit of green and gold?
Bisous, E
The talking is so much better than the watching anyway…too bad netflix! Beautiful color-filled photos…xo
